The Gateway Bass ‘n Gals held their 1st tournament of the 2016 year at Lake of the Ozarks. The club stayed at Alhonna Resort, not only is the marina nice but they also have an on-site café.
Pre-fishing on Saturday was cold and extremely windy, with wind gusts up to 40 mph.
The tournament took out of Alhonna on Sunday at 6:30 a.m. and while it wasn’t quite as windy, the morning air definitely had a chill to it.
Kristen and Lydia fished the upper Gravois arm. They were seeing 49-52 degree water that was stained to muddy. Lydia caught some shorts and a keeper by slow rolling a white and chartreuse spinner bait. Kristen caught some shorts on a red craw square bill.
Cuban caught her keeper on a black/blue spinner and was catching crappier on a jerk bait.
