Sweltering! Steaming! HOT! Those are the best words to describe our most recent tournament on Truman Lake on August 24th. We stayed at the always clean and accommodating Reel and Trigger Resort in Warsaw, and of course, enjoyed the wonderful camaraderie and tasty eating that we always do. Unfortunately, however, the fishing was not as hot as the weather. Nevertheless, three of our lady anglers did manage to weigh in a keeper. Third place was won by Cuban Curcuru using a wacky rigged finesse worm right up close to the timber. Coming in second place was rookie Kristen Harper using a shaky head with a big brush hog. And finishing in first place AND winning big bass was Pam Dugan who caught her nice bass on timber using a Texas rigged motor oil colored worm. We all toughed it out and had a great time!
1st place – Pam D., 1.9 lbs
2nd place – Kristen, 1.83 lbs
3rd place – Cuban, 1.8 lbs.
Congratulations to all!!!
Stay tuned for the report from our annual Buddy Tournament at Pomme de Terre Lake on Sept.27 -28. Reminder that this tournament is open to any two anglers who want to participate as a team!
